WHERE HERITAGE TAKES ROOT.

Elmina—which means “the mine”—is Chef Eric Adjepong’s tribute to the treasures of West Africa. Named after the historic coastal town in Ghana,  Elmina is more than a restaurant; it’s a celebration of the region’s wealth—its flavors, stories, music, architecture, and enduring cultural legacy. Born from Chef Eric’s desire to honor his Ghanaian heritage, Elmina reimagines tradition through innovation, offering dishes that carry depth, meaning, and unforgettable flavor.

A FLAVORFUL JOURNEY FORWARD.

At Elmina, we want guests to feel like they’ve stepped into something both familiar and entirely new. Through bold ingredients, unexpected pairings, and a warm, stylish atmosphere, our aim is to spark curiosity, conversation, and maybe even a few cravings you didn’t know you had. This isn’t just dinner—it’s a journey through the African diaspora, plated with joy and soul.

THE MIND BEHIND THE MENU

Chef Eric Adjepong is the visionary behind Elmina, a restaurant years in the making and rooted in a lifetime of cultural memory. A first-generation Ghanaian-American with degrees in Culinary Arts, Nutrition, and Public Health, Chef Eric brings both precision and purpose to the table. Elmina is the realization of his long-held dream: a space that honors his West African heritage while reimagining its flavors through a bold, modern lens.

A finalist on Top Chef and a beloved television personality on Food Network, Bravo, Hulu, and more, Chef Eric has built a career around storytelling through food. Each dish invites guests to explore the richness of the African diaspora, and every area of the restaurant tells part of that story—from the open-air terrace to four rooms themed for the prized commodities of the transatlantic slave trade: tobacco, indigo, metal, sugarcane, cotton, and wood.
